Wycliffe Gordon's Jazz a la Carte named one of best moments in jazz 2011!
The Wall Street Journal recently named Wycliffe Gordon's "Jazz a la Carte" show that was presented last year at the Apollo Theater, one of the best jazz moments of 2011. Wycliffe will return with "Jazz a la Carte" again this May 12 at the historical Apollo Theater for two star-studded performances.
Tim Brumfield receives honorary fellowship!
Tim Brumfield is recognized for his creative talents as a musician, composer and organist and has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship for his Services in Music from the National College of Music in London.

"Sing It First" methods book and Hello Pops CD Release
Wycliffe Gordon's unique technique and approach to playing the trombone, has been compiled and edited by Alan Raph and published by Kendor Publishing. It's available online and it music stores nationwide.
Wycliffe Gordon's latest recording project "Hello Pops! A Tribute to Louis Armstrong" is now available online at www.wycliffegordon.com.
The CD has been a labor of love for Wycliffe and something he's wanted to produce for a long time. Louis Armstrong is his musical hero and "...paying homage to him and his music by making this CD has been pure joy," says Wycliffe.
The CD was released and debuted with live performances at Dizzy's Coca-Cola Club and a special CD release event sponsored by Yamaha.
Tim Brumfield returns for Winter Solstice
Tim Brumfield just completed four performances with the Grammy winning Paul Winter Consort for the annual production and celebration of Winter Solstice. Tim is a member of the renowned ensemble and is featured on the Great Organ at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine in regular performances with the group and throughout the year as special guest organist.
